Lessons
Here at Resonance Music, we provide music lessons to students of all ages. Our goal here is to make artists not just musicians. There is a difference. All students will learn the importance of ear training, improvisation, and get the skills required to play well with others. With modern music changing everyday, so should our song options. Students can flourish by learning the tunes they know and love! This school will definitely allow kids and adults to have the most fun! All lessons are backed with jazz theory, no matter what style is learned! Everyone will always have the chance to play at our bi-monthly artist showcases and be involved in our student performances every few months. This is a musicians community, not just a school. Here we firmly believe performance is a huge part in the life of an artist. In addition to our methods of instruction, students may also train for NYSSMA and learn in styles of the Suzuki curriculum. Alfreds, Mel Bay, and other method books are also available at the students or parents choice.
Policy
Students are required to pay for each month in advance. This will reserve their time slot each week. Lessons need to be cancelled with 24 hours notice to receive a make up. If the student cancels the day of, it will be up to the teacher whether a makeup will be credited. If a teacher cancels, makeup lessons will always be credited. Payments will always be made for four weeks (even if the student gets five lessons). eg: Some months, students will have five lessons due the changes in cycles of weeks. Therefore, the fifth lesson will always be free and credited towards a future makeup. This leaves the pricing the same each month and allows for easy makeups when necessary.
Pricing
Lessons fees are due the first week of every month for the month in advance. If a student starts in the middle the month, lesson fees will be pro-rated from the time they start, to the end of that month.
-Half hour lessons per week are: $185.00/month
-45 minutes lessons per week are: $270.00/month
-1 hour lessons per week are: $360.00/month
