About the owner
Charles Costa is the music director here at Resonance Music. Teaching for over twenty years now, he has neatly focused on treating each student as individuals who will grow at their own pace. With his experience in teaching, touring, and studio sessions, he will offer much more than just lessons, but the ability to be musically creative and work well with other musicians. His resume consists of thousands of gratified students, numerous recorded material, and performances nationwide.

Performance is crucial to the lives of musicians. Learning to play is just the beginning of a life-long journey. Here at Resonance Music, we help our students become artists by allowing them to perform in front of people. We will always have featured performers twice a month, and new-comers are welcomed to walk in and join the festivities.

Charles Costa

Charlie is a current performer, session player, and owner here at Resonance. He has been instructing for 22 years, and feels he has mastered his teaching applications. With current students ranging from beginner to advanced, he makes music fun and easy to understand. Teaching ear training, contemporary music, and backing it with jazz theory is a specialty here. Students of all ages will feel both fulfilled and accomplished with their instrument. Forcing them to practice is never an option; they will want to! Many of Charlie's students have furthered their success by becoming either performing musicians or enrolling and continuing their studies at top colleges across the country. Charlie has many career accomplishments under his belt including recording and touring with dozens bands over the years. From punk rock's CBGB's & Van Warped Tour to Pop's Ridgefield Playhouse and CMJ, he has been and is currently prepared for bands and stages of all genres. He has taught master classes up and down the east coast in various styles and has been honored with his success. If you want to learn to play, understand, and have a blast, Resonance Music is the place to go and Charlie is the teacher for you!
